Talent Acquisition Support Specialist

Department: Talent Development
Location: Mokena, IL

Summary:  This energetic individual will be an integral part of a fast-paced environment in the Talent Development Department, supporting the recruiting and hiring processes.   This team player with a “can-do” attitude will play a key role in bringing new members to the Ozinga team efficiently.  Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and English fluently is required. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming candidate phone and email inquiries
  • Provide ATS software support via phone to potential candidates and hiring managers
  • Maintain job description file; update as needed
  • Manage Applicant Tracking Software including:
    • Ensure job postings are current and accurate
    • Maintain accurate candidate status, notes and record of correspondences with candidates
    • Work with recruiters and external ATS software development team to continuously improve system and options
  • Arrange and schedule interviews per hiring manager’s needs
  • Initiate Conditional Offers and Background Screens; monitor candidate background authorization sign-off
  • Provide documentation to appropriate departments associated with onboarding process
  • Schedule orientation site and notify all involved departments
  • Prepare and update forms/paperwork for candidate orientation
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Champion and embody the Ozinga values of Service, Learning and Entrepreneurship


  •  Required to speak, write and read Spanish and English fluently
  •  Minimum high school diploma; some college preferred
  •  Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  •  Professional written and verbal communication skills required
  •  Detail-oriented; ability to manage multiple activities/projects concurrently
  •  Problem-solving skills and pro-active mindset
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers (including keyboards and mouse), phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use a keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move boxes and items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
