Content Writer/Journalist

Ozinga is looking for an ambitious tech writer/journalist to join the content team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with other members of the new and growing team in an expanding organization. The tech writer/journalist will work with the marketing, communications, and content team to help our company make a positive impact on others, their families, and the community while living our values of service, learning, and entrepreneurship. As part of the content team, you’ll be responsible for researching, documenting, and writing copy for different publications/communications with emphasis in the construction and logistics industries; performing interviews with industry experts, customers, vendors, and coworkers; understanding business objectives, audiences, positioning, and key messages; and maintain messaging and brand consistency.

 

We are looking for someone collaborative and willing to actively participate in group brainstorming/concept development sessions; eager to build the Ozinga brand; and bring new ideas to the table.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in writing for print or digital channels (e.g., newsletters, e-blasts, social media, blogs, websites)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience in a deadline-oriented environment and in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  •  Knowledge of web-related marketing tactics (earned media, paid media and owned media)
  • A portfolio
