Safety Administrator - Doral - 2021

Department: 118 - Safety
Location: Doral, FL


The Safety Administrator assists the Safety Manager with training, safety processes and improvements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

New Hire Orientation:

  • Prepares safety onboarding paperwork
  • Facilitates new hire day 1 and day 2 safety training
  • Review completed new-hire safety training documents and send to corporate office


  • Assists with annual training for Yard Workers, Mechanics and Maintenance team
  • Documents and tracks other required continued education and training
  • Assists with monthly plant safety meetings
  • Attends safety committee meetings
  • Assists with monthly plant safety inspections
  • Creates new LOTO procedures
  • Manages JSA’s and Safety book monthly

Incident Management:

  • Assists with investigating Incidents
  • Completes incident and police reports, gathers pictures and video
  • Assists with Root Cause Analysis paperwork
  • Coaches driver on incident
  • Prepares incident file and sends to the corporate office
  • Monitors Smart drive camera system, reviews daily events and coaches drivers

Global Responsibilities:

  • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
  • This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs


Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish and English required


  • Previous experience with OSHA, DOT and other regulatory agencies preferred
  • 3 years of safety as core responsibility preferred


  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Strong desire and ability to improve existing processes
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines

Working Conditions:

  • Operation within a professional office environment
  • Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
  • Regularly works outdoors in all weather and ground conditions
  • Travel required to visit plants and sites

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
