Part-Time Warehouse Associate - Goshen - 2021

Department: 250 - Variable Plant Operations
Location: Goshen, IN

Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is a part-time position that ensures that the inventory count is accurate, all shipments have been accounted for and an adequate level of stock is maintained while keeping safety in the forefront. This entry level position is perfect for a work-study student or recent grad looking to start a career that could lead to full time employment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and distribute to instructed location or places product into warehouse as inventory
• Ensure that quality and accuracy of orders are met; reconcile discrepancies such as inaccurate counts, damaged products
• Document all warehouse inventory transactions ensuring compliance with acceptable performance standards
• Assist in stocking materials in the warehouse and doing routine inventory counts
• Travel offsite to pick up orders and/or deliver construction materials as needed
• Make safety a priority, ensuring all safety practices are followed and any applicable Health Hazard Analysis procedures are adhered to; SDS sheets are maintained appropriately
Global Responsibilities:
• Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
• This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
Qualifications:
Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
Experience:
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers or company employees
• Able to perform basic math skills such as add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to maintain confidential information
Working Conditions:
• Operation within a fast-paced environment
• Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
• Able to remain calm in high pressure situations
• Travel up to 30% of the time to make deliveries to customers
